I heard on the radio the other day something unusual. They said that the holiday that more single people felt loneliness was NOT Christmas or Valentine's Day. It was Halloween. I guess if you think about it, it does kind of make sense. When you are young, Halloween is a time to be out trick or treating with your family and friends. In college, it is a time to go to parties with your friends. What about as adults? Unless you have a family or a loved one with you, Halloween can be a sad time--to remind you that you don't have a family or significant other. You see all these adults and children having fun on Halloween night and you are just passing out candy. Yup, now I understand that statistic.

I have wrote many blogs about happiness. I even have a "Happiness" section on my website. Why do I write about it so much? Several reasons. First, most people would say that it is their goal in life--to be happy. It is the wish of all parents--for my children to be happy. Finally, it seems to be the one emotion that alludes us. More and more people are more unhappy than ever before.

Whether you think you are happy or not, I want you to watch this video. It lasts about 9 minutes. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY.

This video is made by a Yale Professor, Dr. Laura Santos. She is in charge of the Happiness Lab podcast. Why is this video so important? Because this bright, smart professor has studied happiness and she created this short video to tell us what is the secret to being happy. She explains it in simple, easy to understand terms. And she gives us a game plan on how to attain happiness. She tells us what we are doing wrong now and what to do in the future.

In fact, I want you to watch this video several times. I want you to watch it while you are eating lunch, breakfast, dinner. Listen to it in the car, on the way to work, when you are walking to class. It is NOT a video to "plow through" and watch it only once.

Seriously, this video is LIFE CHANGING. Next week, we will "unwrap" it (I really hate that word:) We will go through some of the points in the video, give examples, and my opinion on what it all means.

Do you have 9 minutes to change your life???
