It is nearly impossible to have your best idea the first time you think about something.

The above quote is from James Clear. His most famous book is Atomic Habits. If you get a chance, read the book. You will thank me later.

In this quote, he is saying that when we have a good idea, it doesn't come immediately. Usually, we have a somewhat idea and we think about it. And think about it. And think about it.

If we give that idea time and attention, it can become your "best idea". You know when you have the "best idea". You get excited. You get curious. You get energy.

With your "best idea", you want to deep dive. You want to nurture this baby, give it life, give it time.

I have a somewhat idea. But it needs time, attention, and more research. Although no one else may get as excited about this idea as I do, I want to follow it through. Yes, I am a geek in that way:)

So, I am going to give it my time and energy. I will write about my "best idea" in about a month or so. Until then, reread the title. What ideas do you have that could become your "best idea"?

Do you want to rearrange a room in your house?

Do you want to try a new hair cut?

Do you want to organize your work space better so you are more productive?

Do you want to look for a new job?

Keep giving your ideas the time, energy, and attention that they need. They may lead you down an awesome path.
